And Le Vot is cleared into the track! Round of 14 is go!
And it's a very short tenure for Le Vot as he exceeds maximum G and it's a DNF result for the Frenchman. His only chance is a mistake from Arch in the track but is it likely? Let's see.
It's a turbulent track out there today so there's no guessing how the round will play out...
Juan has been a front runner with some great times in the practice sessions on Friday. He's looking at home here in Budapest but with the turbulent conditions will he be able to keep it focused?
So far so good... Velarde looking confident but he's having to work hard with to keep those racing lines smoother
No penalties, he's keeping the plane under his control and the turns are clean and fast... putting the pressure on Muroya with a sub-1 minute time but it's faster than Arch and a great performance.
Muroya scored a second place finish in FP2 on Friday... he's flown 57s in better conditions so Velarde will have a nervous wait now in this knock-out round.
Beating Velarde's 59.492 is the goal for Muroya... he's lining up for the track and the Chiba winner looks cool, calm and collected
And the first split is in the green! Muroya is almost a second ahead of the Spaniard
He's gaining speed in the second split and Yoshi is maintaining his lead... beautiful control despite the turbulence out there
Muroya now 0.517 in the green but NO! It's gone RED at the last sprint to the Finish Gate and Muroya is SLOWER than Velarde!!!
Arch currently through safely, followed by Velarde. Muroya is the current fastest loser.
Next up, it's Canada's Pete McLeod!
McLeod blasting into the track... he's not had a great track record here in Budapest with a 10th and 12th place finish in the practice sessions.... those racing lines don't seem to be too refined so far as he picks up two penalties in Gates 6 and 7... that's an extra +4s on the clock for McLeod
He's picking up some turbulence and it's a frustrating performance for the Canadian, but let's wait and see what Lamb will bring to the table
And Britain's Nigel Lamb is into the track for this knock out heat
Lamb pushes through with a comfortable 2s ahead of McLeod, but it doesn't last long as he picks up 2s at Gate 7... that northern end of the track is proving tricky and catching lots of pilots out. Nevertheless the splits are back in the green and Lamb goes through
