And Ivanoff kicks off the Round of 8!
Over the Chain Bridge and the smoke is on... Ivanoff pushing through at 197kts and it's a clean run in that first pass down the Danube... he's keeping it focused and we're seeing a little bit of aggression in those turns, just enough to keep it penalty free as he progresses through the final vertical turning manoeuvre...
It's a good, solid performance from the Frenchman... currently under review as he picks up +2s at Gate 19 and he's got 1:02.578 on the clock for this Round of 8.
Disappointment from Ivanoff and he's going to be relying on Hall to make some mistakes out there today if he wants a spot in the Final 4.
Hall going all out for a place in the Final 4... Ivanoff has given him a golden opportunity here to pick up some decent points and he's into the track at 197kts... the splits are in the green and he's looking smooth and so controlled out there... classic Hall flying and a return to some great form!
Hall is scrubbing off speed in the track and the margins are looking really healthy... he knows that due to weather conditions the Round of 8 could be the last round so he's taking no prisoners... he's under 1 minute and it's a blistering performance from the Australian as he grabs a Final 4 spot with 59.236
Team Matt Hall Racing looking pleased with that precise and concise performance.
Lamb looking more aggressive as he pushes through the Start Gate at 199kts and he's just run a little wide there... Lamb is hugely experienced and is handling the pressure well... some smooth and clean flying and the racing lines are looking on point. No errors for Lamb and it's ALL about the speed... Lamb struggling to match Hall's pace
Tense moment as Lamb's run under review... disappointment from Lamb as he hears his time but it could be enough if Hannes isn't absolutely on point today.
Arch taking a breath as he prepares to fly into the track... he really wants a place in the Final 4 as he reaches a crucial point in the World Championship season...
Arch through at 198kts and the first splits are looking encouraging... 0.888s ahead of Lamb and the second split is in the green too... he's pulling clear of Lamb in the track by a good margin, 1.728 and looking clean. Possibly slightly better conditions but crisp and controlled flying from the Austrian.
Arch gaining +2s on Lamb's time and Arch goes full throttle for the Finish Gate and takes a spot in the Final 4! Lamb will be disappointed but celebrations for Team Hannes Arch as he progresses with a blistering 58.942
Proof that Hannes is in the game today and with a faster run than Matt he's already got his sights set on the podium. Or has Matt Hall keeping his cards close to his chest for the Final 4?
Chambliss has flown 57s this week in Free practice... that kind of time will definitely earn him a spot in the Final 4 if he can recreate that kind of form in this Round of 8
Chambliss into the track at 196kts... a little conservative but as he progresses we can see the Gs mounting up... Chambliss is no stranger to pushing hard and going fast and furious
