Francois Le Vot cleared into the track... the Frenchman hasn't broken 1:00 in Spielberg so far but Le Vot is looking great through the Start Gate with an accurate and speedy start at 197.56kts
A great big grunt from Le Vot as he pushes through that High-G turning manoeuvre and he's lost a little time but it's still a much quicker performance from the Frenchman as he comes in with 58.917, almost 2s faster than his best time in the free practice sessions.
Germany's Matthias Dolderer next up.
Dolderer through the Start Gate at 192.07kts... he's only 0.037s off Velarde's pace and he's perhaps missing free practice 3 experience as he uses this opportunity to get back into the game. There's blustery conditions to contend with, but it's an otherwise good solid run with 57.255.
Dolderer having a slower start to Run 2, only 190kts through the Start Gate and the entry speed is lacking... it's all time he's got to find in the racetrack!
Barros achieved a best of 4th place in Practice and with the cancelled Qualifying yesterday, this is his only chance now of getting a better result at the second stop here in Austria
It's a bit of a conservative run for the Brazilian pilot, and Barros will be fresh out of the starting blocks today with a difficult job of setting that benchmark for the remaining 5 Challenger pilots. He's flying steadily but passes gate 9 too high... that's +2s on the clock for the Brazilian!
Next up, it's Sweden's Daniel Ryfa... the ice man of the Challenger Cup had a decisive victory in the last free practice session before today's racing... he's on point and looks to be the man to beat here in Spielberg in the Challenger Cup.
- Pylon Hit!
But OH NO! PYLON HIT AT THE START GATE FOR RYFA!
Ryfa still retaining his cool and the Swedish pilot pushes harder in that second split... the times are looking better than Barros' but he passes the Finish Gate with 1:08.216 on the clock... that could be an open door for Bolton who was hot on Ryfa's tail yesterday
US pilot Kevin Coleman. Coleman struck the third place in Abu Dhabi, but he's struggled to find the same form on this super-technical track in Spielberg.
Just to update fans... the live broadcast starts from 11:00 UTC with the Master Class Round of 14! Just waiting for Coleman to make it into the track here for the Challenger Cup...
Coleman into the track and the splits are green as he immediately gains an advantage over Ryfa, clean through the Start Gate and and nicely through the chicane. Coleman just has to fly fast and clean, and that's exactly what he's doing...
We'll be back shortly when the Challenger Cup resumes, with Cristian Bolton next to fly.
And we're back as Cristian Bolton goes into the track for his Challenger Cup run in Spielberg!
He's through at a good 195kts but the splits are in the red in the first sector... he's chasing American Kevin Coleman and Bolton looking fast but still with work to do...
- Pylon Hit!
Pylon hit at Gate 5! That's a massive disadvantage for Bolton who will have had the podium win in his sights... +3s on the clock for Bolton
Just Germany's Florian Berger and France's Melanie Astles left to fly in the second Challenger Cup race of the season.
Based on times from the three previous Free Practice sessions, Berger is the only real remaining threat to Coleman for the podium win...
