Focus is a priority for Sonka... he's sprinting through the course but needs a much faster finish. He's sitting in second place behind Goulian and the team seem happy. He's learning in every run out there but there's no doubt it's going to be a tight race out there today...
Le Vot: The right magneto broke. I hope it’s just a wire, that can be repaired by the morning.
The magneto is the ignition system in the aircraft - if it needs replacing then there's a chance that Le Vot may not be able to fly.

Dolderer is up for Run 1... the German ace is looking to build on his Training success. Very erratic in the banking angle and he's flying super-aggressively but needs to be smoother. He gains a penalty for incorrect level and is flying at the limit at 10G and is over, so it's a DNF
Run 2 and he's looking to put down a time... a little smoother through the track and he's rolling so fast and not happy where he's finishing. It gets smoother into the second part of the track and he needs to stay under the 10G limit, he's right up there again! But he just makes it through with 51. 530 seconds and celebrates with a roll!
Dolderer is flying on the edge and takes the top spot. Ivanoff into the track next.

And he's through the Start Gate and it's smoke on... smooth flying from Ivanoff but it's already a DNF for this class act... they're letting him continue as there may be a touch of tecnical issues. He needs to clock in a good time and he's chasing Dolderer

Back to Qualifying... Ivanoff fastest so far, followed by Dolderer and Goulian. The Godfather of the Red Bull Air Race, Peter Besenyei, is cleared into the track...
EFIS reset required yet again, this time for Besenyei, this time resetting from the Race Tower. Besenyei cleared into the track again
The smoke on call comes from Steve Jones and the world-famous Hungarian pilot is into the track. Besenyei has struggled this season with finding pace but he's flying cleanly through the track. Gate 3 throws up a +2 second penalty for incorrect level flying and he's off the pace. He takes the vertical turning manoeuvre much higher. It's 57.198 for Run 1 and he's got a second chance...
He's getting low in his second run and looks a little less smooth out there, trading speed for altitude in the turns. He's made it quite clear that his wing isn't how he wants it on the Corvus Racer and he's still struggling with speed out there... a long way down the timings but he improves with 55.183
And the local hero is cleared into the track... all eyes will be on Yoshi as the crowd cheers
Can Yoshi handle the expectation from the home crowd? He's fast and hard through the pylons with good altitude control, but he's got to watch the Over-G and gains +2 seconds for incorrect level flying. His Edge 540 V3.5 looking good out there and he passes through the Finish Gate with 54.288
It feels as if the crowd are holding their breath here waiting for their home favourite to put in a super-fast performance.
Yoshi focuses on a much more aggressive pass and he's cleanly through Gate 3 and 4... through the chicane and it's a sprint to Gate 10 and another high-G turn, he just needs to clean it up a bit as he pushes through the Finish Gate. His second run earns him his best time of 52.429 and he currently sits in 7th place behind Velarde.
Nigel Lamb next up.
The British pilot was disappointed with his Training time earlier today so will be looking to clean up out there. He's got to take the chicane wider thanks to his tall winglets... he's a little off the pace but can still find speed and power elsewhere in the track.
Lamb still off the pace, and he takes a flat line on the Vertical Turning Manoeuvre... he's under review for incorrect level flying on Gate 10
Run 1 - 55.173 and he's back into the track for Run 2
He's still off the pace for Run 2 but he'll be trying to avoid picking up another penalty... he's banking before the Gate and it seems to be causing him problems. But he's through cleanly and it's 55.183
for Run 2. Lamb doesn't look happy and will no doubt be reviewing the data...
