So Kopfstein is cleared into the track and our analyst reckons he's found a great line out there – yesterday's result would have been super fast without the penalty
- Pylon Hit!
And it's a repeat performance unfortunately for Kopfstein who picks up a pylon hit just at the end of his run! It's an immediate 3s in penalties... giving him 1:09.874
Podlunsek goes next and the Slovenian is very eager to make his mark on the World Championship stage
But it's not been a strong start to his career...
although we might have to eat our words yet again!
Podlunsek posts 1:08.074 in his first of two runs for Qualifying
Don't forget here in Ascot, the pilots will fly 2 separate runs – as they have to land and take off again for each run. This means we will have two full flying sessions to cover!
Goulian goes out next and that's a solid performance for the American with 1:07.908
Le Vot flies next and it's red across the split times, he's way off the pace and it's a 1:11.383 for the Team Breitling pilot
Goulian out in front after 4 pilots...
But next up it's McLeod – who posted 1:05.989 – in Free Practice earlier.... he could do this!
He likes a Qualifying win and we know that when he's got his A-Game going, he's good!
It's all green for McLeod and he's sprinting to the finish line... nice job Pete! He moves into 1st place with 1:06.593! Boom!
Sonka out into the track now and there's a lot of support from the fans for him! We know he has the ability to win out there, but he's been a little off form this season...
We've got a red then a green split and he's clawing it back! That's a bit wide back into the track for his final stretch... but it's clean and he moves right into first place!
It's a 1:05.172 and that's a track record here in Ascot for 2016!
That makes Sonka the man to beat as it stands!
Matt Hall next – he was tipped for the 2016 title but the results haven't been forthcoming...
