We've had the call that we need to postpone again and we'll give more details in a second...
CURRENT QUALIFYING STANDINGS:
NEWS UPDATE: 17.30 Master Class Qualifying 2 postponed until 18.00
And it's Velarde who is first back into the IMS track :)
It's red through the split times but clean and perhaps cautious for the Spaniard...
It's a 1:06.104 for Velarde, which means his earlier 1:04.052 stands and holds him in 3rd place with nine pilots to fly...
Goulian is ready next... but it's a 1s straight away for insufficient smoke and that is such a shame...
He's currently in 6th and really needs to put down a great time if he wants to move up...
He's midfield as it stands, which is likely to put him up against a rival of similar stature in the World Championship in the Round of 14
It's a 1:06.337 including that 1s... so consistent timewise with his earlier run
McLeod next... he's currently in 4th so he's in a good spot, this one is an all-out approach as he's got nothing to lose...
We're in the red at the first and second split times... but it's clean so far
And he's almost home and dry!
That's 1:04.483 for the Canadian and those vertical turns looked good, says Bonhomme
Yoshi Muroya is on the ground at the Race Airport and he's getting some technical support... we're keeping a close eye on things and will let you know as soon as he takes off
Luckily Muroya is still 1.88s ahead of Hall so that first run could well keep him in the top spot, even without a second run...
Official statement: Muroya has been given a Did Not Start (DNS) and will not fly in Q2
We move on to the next competitor, Nigel Lamb...
Really bad luck for Muroya after such an epic start to the session
British pilot Lamb, 2014 World Champion, is next to go... and currently in 10th place, he really needs to give this everything to jump up a few places or he could face a very tough head to head tomorrow
And Lamb's into the track! And with that delay, you have to hope that it hasn't proved a big distraction to the remaining pilots...
He's not going to smash Muroya's time, but this looks good and he's gaining pace...
And this is great from Lamb! It's 1:03.209 and it marks a personal best! He moves up to 2nd place, ahead of Hall!
