CHALLENGER CUP FREE PRACTICE 3: Melanie Astles set the fastest time in the final session before Qualifying with a blistering 1:05.924 showing no signs of being behind the curve after five months since her last race.
NEWS UPDATE: Due to the increased number of pylon hits during Free Practice, the Race Committee has been forced to cancel Challenger Qualifying. This is to allow our Racetrack Operations team enough time to ensure all pylons are in working order before Master Qualifying and the Challenger Cup race this afternoon.
We're on the countdown now to Master Class Qualifying in just over 30 minutes! Results from FP3 coming up!
MASTER CLASS FREE PRACTICE 3: In the final practice session before today's Qualifying, the pilots were bitten by the Kazan track that offered up much more testing conditions – meaning the pilots had to dig deep to set a good time in Free Practice 3. Matt Hall was able to tame the track better than anyone else in a session that saw 11 pylons go down and three DNFs (Did Not Finish) for over-Gs.
