Here's the Canadian – both Sonka and Chambliss have shown what's possible now in the track
178.46kts through the Start Gate...
He's got Sonka's time to beat... but it's red on the first split time
This is not enough... red again and again...
This won't be enough for the win, but can he beat Chambliss to guarantee a podium?
It's a 1:07.342 for McLeod and he moves into 2nd place
Sonka leads with just Hall to fly
Last pilot here in Porto, it's Matt Hall making a comeback
179.49kts for the Australian as he enters the track
He's got to go all out now if he wants the win!
But it's red at the first split time...
And he just can't catch Sonka, despite some great handling of the VTMs
Red again and Sonka is closer to the win!
This is game over... Hall is red once more on the split time and there's nothing he can do now
SONKA TAKES THE WIN IN PORTO!
FINAL 4 RESULT PORTO:
Sonka: It's a great result and one of the key races of the season, but still two to go. Now it's time to celebrate. The last three races we collected different penalties and I was thinking now it's time to race again. I cannot be happier. It's a good position for the end of the season.
Sonka moves to the top of the overall standings after collecting a maximum 15 points
Sonka now leads with 54 points, followed by McLeod who jumps up to 2nd overall on 50 points. Chambliss slips to 3rd on 47
McLeod: Hats off to Martin, great flight. I maybe messed up on one turn. We're just getting used to being up there. All we've got to do is to keep flying like this. We'll get the cards fall our way and we're a little bit closer in the hunt.
What a phenomenal round here in Porto – with the hunt for the 2017 title now a battle between Sonka, McLeod, Chambliss and Muroya
We move on to the next round in Germany at the Lausitzring in just a few weeks and with only two races left, it's going to be tense!
Full results story will follow and the press conference starts at 1700 local time
Porto, we loved being here! That is a wrap from us and we'll be back from 15 September as the World Championship heads to the Lausitzring in Germany for Round 7. See you there and thanks for joining us!
