Third to fly, and marking the halfway point, is Kenny Chiang, the winner from the last round in Kazan
Chiang is green at the first split time, ahead of Berger!
But it's not enough to keep the German pilot at bay and Chiang's time at the second and third splits are red
Chiang moves into second place with 1:22.145
The second half of Challenger Cup Qualifying will see Daniel Genevey, Ben Murphy and Kevin Coleman take to the skies... not long to wait
And they're back! Here comes Daniel Genevey, flying for Hungary in his first Red Bull Air Race season
And that buzzer goes straight away as he exceeds the start speed at 181.07kts – that's an automatic 1s added
He's off the pace but this isn't a bad run... and it's a 1:20.999 for Genevey, which without the penalty is faster than Berger
Genevey moves into second place and bumps Chiang down into third
British pilot Ben Murphy flies next and after a great FP3 performance could shake things up
But it's another immediate penalty as he gets penalised for insufficient smoke and that's 1s added – there's no smoke at all!
He's red all the way on the split times and won't be able to replicate his earlier success... it's a 1:22.064 for Murphy and moves into third place with just Kevin Coleman to fly
And last to fly in this Porto Challenger Qualifying round is American pilot Kevin Coleman, currently in fourth place overall on 16 points
He really needs to bag a decent points haul this weekend to be in with a chance of catching Berger
But it doesn't seem he has enough out there to move past Berger in Qualifying and those split times stay in the red
- Pylon Hit!
And there's our first pylon hit of the day! that's 2s for hitting Gate 8 for Coleman...
Coleman records 1:24.556 on the timesheet and that leaves him in 6th place with those 3s added
So that concludes the Qualifying for the Challenger Cup here in Porto... results coming up!
