And he's red against his earlier time at the first split... but that quickly turns to green and it's all good for Hall!
Q2 for Hall is a great 1:08.186
American pilot Mike Goulian is up next
Juan Velarde: After FP3 I had a prop strike during landing. We had to change the whole engine which will take about 10 hours, so we'll miss Quali. We have to do a test flight but we will be ready for the race. It's going to be a long night and I'm confident we will be flying tomorrow.
Goulian is coming into Porto looking to build on his improved 2017 form
He's in 7th place overall, juts a single point behind defending 2016 champion Dolderer
Goulian is looking good! This is fantastic flying and secures him a 1:08.025! That's enough to put him at the top of the timesheet
Can he better that in his Q2 run? Let's see...
Goulian is flying against his own Q1 time now and it's a little unsteady, and he might be trying out a few tactics
But it's red on the early splits...
And this is consistent flying from Goulian as he clocks in at 1:08.324 for Q2
Goulian moves into the top spot, with Hall in second and Le Vot in third
All have posted 1:08 times so this is the bar set for the remaining 6 pilots
And it's Germany's Dolderer now
Dolderer is in 6th place overall and while it's possible for him to make a comeback in the remaining races, it's not been a great year so far
2s for incorrect level at Gate 10 and that ruins Q1... it's 1:11.139 for Dolderer
Q2 isn't looking too hot either for the German and whatever his race line strategy, he might need to rethink tonight if he wants to make the podium
It's a 1:09.000 for Q2 for Dolderer
Kopfstein, McLeod, Sonka, Muroya and Chambliss to fly
The first of our two Czech pilots to fly now – it's Petr Kopfstein
Identified as the most consistent pilot this season, Kopfstein is making a slow and steady ascent through the rankings
He's green all the way! This is great and it's a 1:07.979 clean Q1 for Kopfstein and he moves easily into the lead!
And now he can really show his intent if he wants to go all out with Q2 to see what's possible
Or he can take it a little easier, which is how this Q2 is looking
